Like all parents, I want my kids to be the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves. The tricky part is how to get there. Every child is unique and has different personalities, interests, strengths and struggles. There is SO much information available to parents today, it can be overwhelming! My goal is to simplify the process and break down the fundamentals.
I specialize in nutrition for the whole family. My goal is to move your family towards greater physical, mental and emotional health. My belief is that it all starts with food. If we can help our kids make healthier choices that fuel their bodies at a young age, we can change the trajectory of their health moving forward.
The current statistics are dismal. 40% of youth are overweight or obese. 30% have prediabetes, 34% of youth have a diagnosable mental health disorder, 18% of teens have fatty liver disease (which was unheard of twenty years ago)! The statistics get worse as we age. 73% of adults in America are overweight or obese. 93% are metabolically unwell. This can lead to a host of issues such as weight gain, acne, mental health disorders, sleep issues and chronic disease. Metabolic health is the root of wellness and metabolic dysfunction is the root of disease. We owe it to our families and ourselves to do everything we can to protect them from these devastating conditions. Through simple, consistent steps we can make major strides in the overall health and well being of your family. The hope comes from the daily choices we make each day.
This is where I come in. I have a masters in Education, and recently graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a Certified Health Coach. My goal is to understand your family's individual needs and come up with a reasonable, action oriented plan to improve the health and well being of your whole family. It starts with a free thirty minute consultation where we discuss the goals you have for your family. From there we take actionable steps to improve your family's nutrition, sleep, and exercise. Change is possible and we can do it together!​
